Healing Choir
Healing Choir is a space for people to come together through communal vocalisation, listening, breath & gentle movement. It’s an uplifting, collaborative and transformative practice, promoting health & well-being.
Our repertoire is original, created together with the participants, through playful experimentation, improvisation, and self-expression. This collaborative venture seeks to create an innovative voice, contributing to the broader vision of community practice. It suits all abilities, backgrounds, ages, and experiences, remaining accessible and welcoming to all.
The Healing Choir pilot project (Tin Tabernacle Kilburn, August - October 2024) offered participation in 11 gatherings. It has significantly enhanced well-being in the Kilburn community, providing a safe space for individuals to come together and experience the therapeutic power of collective voicing. We held a series of participant-centred sessions with strong attendance, representing a diverse cross-section of the community.
By engaging with local stakeholders and volunteers from the Kilburn Tin Tabernacle, we ensured the project was rooted in community needs.
The positive feedback from participants indicates that the Healing Choir brought an important outlet for social connection and creative expression.
The pilot project was supported by the One Kilburn Community Fund and ran as a one-time collaboration with Paprika Collective, another London based, social enterprise.

In 2025 we ran several Healing Choir gatherings in Queen's Park and will be presenting Healing Choir - Revitalised, a Three sessions bespoke project, designed as an inspiring end-of-year/new-year offering (December/January), with support from Brent Council's Love Where You Live Grant.
